We are eager to return to worship and are excited to partner with you in this launch of New Dimensions.

PART 1
Proposal for Greater Fellowship Baptist Church: Return to In-Person Worship

Rationale:
As of 5/14/21, the state of NC has administered over 7.7 million vaccine doses. 51% percent of those 18 and up are at least partially vaccinated, and 46% percent of those 18 and up have been fully vaccinated. 
Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that fully vaccinated individuals can safely do most activities without wearing a mask or the need to social distance from others, the state removed its indoor mask mandate for most settings. Additionally, the state lifted all mass gathering limits and social distancing requirements. These changes went into effect at 1:30 PM on 5/14/21.
Masks will still be required in childcare, schools and camps as most children are either not yet vaccinated or are not yet eligible to be vaccinated. Everyone, including people who are fully vaccinated will still be required to wear a mask in certain settings such as public transportation, health care settings like hospitals, doctor’s offices and long-term care settings like nursing homes, and certain congregate settings like correctional facilities and homeless shelters.

Recommended Safety Measures

• A single door of entry into the sanctuary
• Temperature checks before entry: those with a temperature greater than 100 should return home, isolate themselves from others, and notify their physician
• Hand sanitizer available for use at building entry and exit points
• Surgical face masks available for those who choose to wear them

 
Overview of Proposed Phased Approach
Phase 1: Open to fully vaccinated praise team members and ministry leaders.
Purpose:

• Test the safety procedures

• Evaluate the comfort level of service attendees 
• Gather feedback on the processes in place and suggested changes/improvements

(Feedback and evaluations can be gathered during an in-person meeting or via an evaluation/feedback form that I can create and share with everyone)

Phase 2: Open to all members and guests


PART 2
We are eager to return to worship and are excited to partner with you in this launch of New Dimensions. As you saw on the video above, New Dimensions is our re-entry plan to return to in-person worship in the sanctuary. While this plan is multi-faceted to include necessary upgrades to the sanctuary, I want you to know that our Deacons and Trustees have vetted several different quotes from audio and video companies to narrow down the company that will provide the most effective and affordable equipment and installation for the required upgrades. The updated equipment will allow us to maintain continuity with our online audience and those who will feel comfortable returning to in-person worship. The upgrade will include:

NEW Audio

• New Soundboard for recording and live-streaming
• New Speakers for audience and monitors for stage
• New amplifiers and subwoofers 

NEW Video

• New High-Definition Cameras with controllers
• New 86 inch TV's for song lyrics and video presentations
• New Switcher to Livestream to multiple platforms

NEW Lighting

• New Stage lighting
• New Sanctuary Lighting (dimmable)
• New Color Controller for stage lighting​

NEW Stage Design

• Upgrade Color LEDs
• New Stage Design
• New Paint and Light Design

Now that you see the plan, it's time to pave a path forward to procure our new equipment for re-entry and we need your vote of confidence to move forward with this project. As members of Greater Fellowship we need you to vote on whether you would like to return to in-person worship with an updated sanctuary that allows us to worship in the building and online. All active members over the age of 18 are asked to join us for church meeting on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10am in the Fellowship Hall. RSVP Below.
