Who is Jesus?
A Fresh Start.
I'm already in a real relationship with Jesus.
Isn't being in love with Jesus the best thing you've ever done?! This global pandemic affirms for us now more than ever that in these uncertain times, we can be certain in our relationship with Christ. Through God's Word we are instructed, as Christians, to be light in the midst of darkness. In these dark and uncertain times, let us be the light by sharing God's power, love and reassurance with the world. Let us be a fountain of fresh joy for those we encounter. Each week, let's check on people in our community, just to let them know that they're on our mind.
During this time of quarantine is a GREAT time to seek God regarding your spiritual gifts. Consider asking God what He has in store for you in this season; ask God how He wants to use you. If you don't know your spiritual gift(s), we invite you to take this assessment, which will email you your results: Click here.
If you have specific questions about your spiritual gift(s) or Scriptures to help you through this time, email us at [email protected] and a member of our team will follow up with you. We are in this together!

I'm beginning a real relationship with Jesus
Praise God! Today you have made the best decision of your life. We want to walk through this process with you. Please complete the contact form below and follow the steps below to begin your journey with Jesus. A member of our team will reach out to you within the next week!
Step 1 - Prayer
Pray this prayer: "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, but I am saved by your amazing grace. Right now, I ask that you forgive me for all of my sins. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen."
- By praying the prayer above, you have accepted Jesus in your heart and you are SAVED! This does not mean you will live a perfect life, but it does mean is that Jesus is your personal Savior. It means that the Holy Spirit lives within you- you will think differently, love differently and give differently and live differently. You have professed your belief that Jesus died and rose from the dead. And you have declared repentance in your heart and life. This prayer does not save you, however your believe in Jesus will. (Romans 10:9) Today if you believe, you are saved!

Step 2 - Participation
God sent you into this world to use your gifts, skills and talents for His glory. As you encounter the presence of God, you will feel inadequate. This feeling is both natural and good. However, God is making you holy through the living out of your life, which is called sanctification (see video below). You do not have to be perfect, but know that God is perfecting you. Your focus, now that you have confessed Jesus as your savior and repented from your sins, is to live your life to the fullest for God's glory.

What is Sanctification?

Step 3 - Plunge
If you have not been water baptized, this is your next step. At The Ship, we get excited about Baptism! We see Baptism as an outward expression of what God is doing on the inside of you. If in the contact form above you noted that you have not been baptized, our team member will discuss with you next steps. The team member who contacts you will be available to answer any of your questions regarding Baptism. Click the buttom below if you desire to be baptized.
If you have any questions about baptism or wish to speak to someone about baptism email us at [email protected].
If you have already been baptized, skip Step 3 and go straight to Step 4.
Step 4 - Pledge
God desires balance in three areas of your life, your time, your talent and your tithe.
Balance Your Time
Ephesians 5:1-17 - Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Balance Your Talent
Matthew 25:14-30 – The Parable of the Talents: To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.
Galatians 6:10 - So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
1 Peter 4:10 - As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
Balancing Your Tithe
Malachi 3:10 - Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
Pledge to honor God with a balanced life. Stewardship is about achieving a balanced life. God wants us to learn how to manage all things in our lives well.

Balance Your Time
Ephesians 5:1-17 - Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
- Pay attention to how you use your time. Live a balanced life. All work and no vacation will make you rich and bitter.
- Balance your family time. Put your family on your calendar and be intentional about spending time with them.
- Tithe your time to the church. Join a ministry and be active in worship weekly.
- Balance your time with people. Don’t waste time with people who do not fit into your purpose. They drain you of life and purpose.
Balance Your Talent
Matthew 25:14-30 – The Parable of the Talents: To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.
- God has given every human a gift which He expects you to use for His glory. The church needs that talent. While talents may be worldly skills, they can be used for Godly purposes.
Galatians 6:10 - So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
1 Peter 4:10 - As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.

- The full tithe is 10% of our total income. The only way to know 10% is to know the 100%. God wants us to be balanced, thus we can’t spend all of our money on one thing. The church is where we strike a balance in our finances with our tithe.

Step 5 - Pour
Now that you have achieved balance in your life, you are ready to serve in a local church. Scripture says, He who is greatest among you shall be your SERVANT (Matthew 23:11). Leading others to Christ is the greatest service you can do in the kingdom. Being a leader does not mean you are out front or on the mic, it means someone is following you. Now that you have grown in your personal relationship with Jesus, help someone else grow in their relationship with Him too. Pour into them the love of Christ that was poured into you. God filled you so that you can pour yourself into those around you.
If you are ready to serve, please complete the Spiritual Gifts assessment below. Once you've completed the assessment, a member of our team will reach out to you with ministry areas for you to prayerfully consider that match your gifts, skills and talents.

Step 6 - Praise
Celebrate your success at every step. Moreover, celebrate the fact that you have completed all 5 steps! You have accomplished a great goal and you should celebrate with praise. Praise God for allowing you to engage and conquer each step. Praise God that you made it through. We know it was not easy but, you still made it. We thank God for the transformation that has come through your Salvation!
I'd like to consider a relationship with Jesus.
We get it! Everyone must make the decision to follow Jesus in their own time. God honors your decision process. Jesus is patient and is willing to wait for you. In the meantime, here are some videos that can help you understand the choice to follow Jesus.

I don't ever want a relationship with Jesus.
God's love does not require us to first love Him. Whether we are fully devoted to him, or do not care about him at all, God still loves us. While you rest in your decision to never make the decision to follow Jesus, watch this video before you go.
