Become an Artist in Residence

We are thrilled you would like to showcase your talent here at The Ship. Our goal is to promote artists who want to share the message of Jesus Christ. Since COIVID-19 Pastor Shears has been working to help the community stay connected by mulitple means. Music is one of those ways. We cannot wait to worship to your gift. 

How does it work? 

The artist must be able to achieve the following to be considered:

1. The artist must be able to record a video in a minimum of 1080p. (4K prefered)
2. The artist must be able to produce a quality worshipful moment in video.
3. The artist must be able to produce a professional video that reflects a quality set design. 
4. The artist must possess a professional social media page(s). 

(Think of your ministry moment as the preimering of a music video.)

When will we play your music?
We will play your recorded video for three (3) Lives event:

1. The Sunday Virtual Experence at 10am
2. The Sunday Playback at 6pm
3. Midnight Rewind on Wednesday at 12am

We will display your contact information on the screen while your video is playing, so people will be able to support and follow your music ministry. 

FAQ:
Q: How many weeks can I be an Artist in Residence?
A: At minimum 1 week at most 4. 

Q: What type of songs should I sing?
A: Traditional songs of the black church or contempory black church gospel. 

Q: Can I come to the church to shoot or record?
A: Our facility will not be available to any artist to film and record.

Q: What is the honoraruim?
A: We are offering our Artist in Residence an opportunity to introduce their musical gifts to our over 5000 monthly viewers. This will be a great opportunity to grow your following and musical sales.
